Tomte, Julbock and Red Ball Candle
This painting captures a spirited Tomte with his bouquet or spray of wheat, and companion the Julbock (straw goat), alongside a bright wooden red ball traditional candle holder.   The still life arrangement on a window sill, looking out to the wintery view of snow laden pine branches faded in the background, and the mild glow of a lit candle flame.  This is one of the Swedish Collection Prints that combine the country charm of the natural elements along with Swedish influence (Tomte/Julbock).   The Swedish Collection has four prints, each representing one of the four seasons.
