Thomaston CT Train Station
This painting is a detailed image of the Thomaston CT Train Station, also known as the Railroad Museum of New England. The focus on this painting, was to capture the ornate carvings on the architectural brackets supporting the roof overhang. In addition, attention was given to the view in the window, which looks through the building to opposite interior wall. The Thomaston Train Station has been rescued, and is once again active with ride schedules planned through most of the year. The ride/tour schedule can be found on the Railroad Museum of New England website, and rides include themes based on the seasons, holidays, or other specialty themes such as the 'Chocolate Decadence Sunset Tour'. Listed on the top '20 things to do' in the State of CT!
