Glimpses of Acadia
“View from Otter Point” captures one of the sweeping coastal views along Acadia National Park's rugged eastern shoreline. From the rocky overlook, the eye travels across the blue waters and granite coast toward the distinctive rounded form of Beehive Mountain, with Sand Beach tucked into the coastline in the distance.
Weathered granite fills the foreground while evergreens and low coastal vegetation soften the rocky shoreline beyond. It is a landscape that brings together so much of what makes Acadia distinctive—mountains meeting the sea, exposed granite, evergreens and distant stretches of coast.
